Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Director of Specialty Finance Lending (SFL) to independently manage the full lifecycle of SFL transactions, from origination to close and ongoing account management. You will mentor junior staff, drive syndication, and expand market reach while sustaining portfolio performance.

The role requires deep experience in asset-based lending, structured debt, and complex facilities, with proven client relationship skills and cross-sell capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or finance required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of corporate finance, lending, and leasing with 3+ years in structured facilities for specialty lending.
• 5+ years of senior level financial sales experience and business development.

Responsibilities

• Source new SFL facilities through channels including direct marketing and origination with prospects and other lenders.
• Lead and mentor junior sales personnel and assist in syndication of SFL facilities.
• Develop new markets and prepare position papers/white papers on expansion opportunities for evaluation by the SFL team.
• Maintain and grow relationships to maximize revenue and manage portfolio risk.
