Job summary

Humana is seeking a Director, Provider Contracting to lead negotiation and execution of physician, hospital, and other provider contracts. The role requires deep understanding of financial impact, contract terms, and network strategy.

Responsibilities include communicating terms to providers, maintaining contract records, and guiding strategic program initiatives while advancing performance across the function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field; or 10 years provider contracting experience.
• Minimum 5 years contracting experience including hospital and value-based contracting.
• Experience leading people or projects.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze trends in the provider contracting arena.
• Proven contract preparation and negotiation skills, with Medicare contracting knowledge.
• Must live within the Northeast Region (MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, ME, NH, VT, RI).

Responsibilities

• Initiates, negotiates, and executes provider contracts and agreements.
• Communicates contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
• Analyzes financial impact of contracts and maintains documentation.
• Assists with identifying and recruiting providers based on network needs.
