Job summary

Humana is seeking a Provider Contracting Executive to initiate, negotiate, and execute contracts for the Alabama Market. You will be the primary contact with providers, communicating terms, analyzing financial impact, and maintaining contract records.

Travel to provider sites is required up to 20% while working remotely within the region. The role demands 5+ years in network management in healthcare, 2+ years in project leadership, and strong contracting skills, with a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive network management experience in a healthcare company.
2+ years of project leadership experience.
Extensive provider contracting skills including negotiation, preparation and implementation, financial analysis and rate proposal development.
Must live within the region with travel to providers up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact with providers and negotiate contracts.
Communicate contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
Analyze the financial impact of contracts and terms.
Maintain contracts and documentation in a tracking system.
Identify and recruit providers based on network needs and composition.
Advise executives on functional strategies and exercise independent judgment on complex issues.
