Equinix, Inc. is seeking a Director of Onsite Power Generation to lead its global OSPG strategy for onsite, behind-the-meter, and co-sited power across the data center portfolio.

You will define standards, drive regional adaptation, and manage a scalable pipeline of projects while balancing cost, uptime, and sustainability objectives. You will partner with Energy, Design & Construction, Operations, Sustainability, Finance, and Legal teams to implement a repeatable operating model that delivers

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data center energy, mission-critical infra, or related field with cross-functional program leadership.
• Experience building enterprise strategy, operating models, or centers of excellence across regions.
• Strong understanding of hyperscale data center development, uptime, and utility constraints.
• Technical and commercial fluency across onsite generation, fuel cells, gas turbines, and storage; ability to translate into portfolio priorities.

Responsabilités

• Define and refine the global OSPG strategy, priorities, and investment theses.
• Develop and maintain global standards, playbooks, and governance for OSPG activities.
• Collaborate with regional teams to adapt strategy to local market and regulatory conditions.
• Establish a global pipeline and governance cadence for opportunities across regions.
• Ensure OSPG integration with data center planning, capacity, and electrical topology.
• Lead strategic negotiations with developers, IPPs, OEMs, utilities, and EPCs.
