Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System seeks a Director of Annual and Leadership Giving to lead donor engagement across the enterprise from Hamden. Hybrid onsite/remote work is available with a strong benefits package.

The role focuses on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors capable of $5,000+ while elevating leadership gifts and expanding pipelines across DN and SL in collaboration with YSM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in healthcare fundraising, leadership and annual giving.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience leading and managing teams.
• Experience in an academic health system or complex nonprofit environment where philanthropy is strategic.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate strategies to obtain outright annual gifts through direct mail, digital and social strategies.
• Collaborate with advancement colleagues on content and stewardship across the DN and SL.
• Develop multi-year plans to increase unrestricted funding through leadership and annual giving.
• Supervise annual giving staff for quality, workload, and deliverables.
• Travel in the region; availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
