Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead large-scale, multi-year integration programs within Finance Technology. The role focuses on aligning technical solutions with business goals, maturing the TPM discipline, and driving platform convergence across portfolios.

You will guide objective-driven delivery, manage cross-functional teams, and influence senior leadership on tradeoffs between speed, cost, and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (required).
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs (required).
• Experience with distributed computing or SOA (preferred).
• Experience with cloud services and architecture (AWS preferred).
• Experience delivering large, complex programs and cross-functional collaboration.
• MBA or technical master’s degree advantageous; PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma certifications helpful.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to TPM / Delivery strategy with scalable operating mechanisms.
• Drive program roadmaps aligned to business objectives and dependencies.
• Lead cross-platform investment planning and ensure architectural alignment.
• Act as executive escalation point for program risks and tradeoffs.
• Ensure measurable outcomes: availability, scalability, cost efficiency, developer velocity.
