Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead complex, multi-year integration initiatives and define large-scale strategies across Finance Technology. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience designing distributed systems and SOA.
• 3+ years building distributed systems with cloud services (AWS).
• 3+ years delivering large programs with cross-functional teams.
• MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field.
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
• 3+ years people management experience or influencing organization as an IC.
• Experience driving platform standardization across multiple product portfolios.
• Track record of building TPM maturity at scale.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the organization’s TPM / Delivery strategy: establish operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios.
• Drive development of and alignment on program roadmap anchored in business objectives, definition of done, technical solutions, and sequencing of dependencies.
• Lead cross-platform technical investment planning and ensure architectural alignment toward long-term platform convergence and reuse.
• Serve as an executive-level escalation point for program risks, influencing technology leaders to make data-driven tradeoffs between speed, cost and resiliency.
• Ensure definition of measurable outcomes of platform success (availability, scalability, cost efficiency, developer velocity) and ensure delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams.
