Job summary

ACQ is seeking a Director of Operations to run day-to-day business across studios, corporate functions, and call center. You’ll own operating systems, people ops, inventory, payroll, facilities, and vendor management while building scalable processes with fast decision cycles.

This hands-on leadership role demands diagnosing issues, delivering timely solutions, and maintaining accountability through weekly cadences. Remote-based in the United States with up to 80% travel.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations across multiple locations (brick-and-mortar).
• Direct experience with payroll, recruiting, performance management, facilities, or vendor management.
• Ability to diagnose issues quickly while staying closely involved with the work.
• Judgment to decide independently or escalate to founders or counsel.
• Comfort with tools, automation, and AI to improve execution with lean headcount.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across studio network, call center, inventory, and scheduling.
• Own recruiting, performance management, and workforce planning with People Lead reporting to you.
• Build scorecards and weekly operating reviews for partners, leaders, and finance.
• Run payroll and back-office tasks accurately and on time, handling corrections.
• Make facilities, vendor, and location spend decisions within authority limits.
• Coordinate responses to labor, compliance, and legal matters with counsel as needed.
• Identify recurring problems and install processes to prevent repeats.
• Provide founders with clear updates and actionable solutions.
