Job summary

Alliance Water seeks a Director of Strategy and Administration to manage daily operations, budgets, and strategic alignment. The role reports to the Executive Director and will coordinate with consultants, with periodic in-person meetings in the Austin–San Antonio corridor.

The position requires strong budgeting, policy development, and communications skills; travel is occasional and the role is remote with periodic on-site collaboration.”

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in administration/operations management.
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, business or related field; engineering degree acceptable with 10+ years experience.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and related software.
• Ability to learn technical aspects of water treatment and organizational functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operating and capital budgets and prepare routine financial reports.
• Develop and ensure adherence to policies and legal mandates.
• Coordinate human resources and procurement; provide operations support.
• Act as administrative advisor to the Executive Director and coordinate interagency efforts.
• Engage in strategic planning and partner with external organizations.
