Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking a Director of Construction to join the Project Delivery team. This role can be based remotely in the United States with 50% travel to project sites and the DEPCOM office as needed, overseeing multiple large-scale solar projects from inception through completion.

You will lead with strong project and construction management, develop teams, ensure safety and quality, manage budgets, and communicate with leadership and stakeholders to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Construction experience leading teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Proficient with project management software.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and cost control.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the execution of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring alignment with safety, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Provide strategic oversight and guidance to portfolio construction leaders on contracting strategy, subcontractor and self-perform models, schedule risk management, and mitigation of critical path constraints.
• Lead and develop the team using PBM frameworks, mentoring direct reports and fostering growth.
• Drive operational and quality excellence by enforcing a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive financial stewardship and risk management by supporting budget development, monitoring expenditures, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance.
• Ensure transparent and effective communication with leadership and stakeholders by providing regular updates on project performance, risks, challenges, and opportunities.
