Job summary

The SOLA family seeks a mission-driven leader to serve as SOLAx Director of Programs & Operations. This remote role, aligned to EST hours, partners with the Co-Founder to implement SOLAx’s priorities across programs, operations, technology, learner support, outreach, and impact measurement.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing complex projects, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and building scalable systems to support growth, quality, and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in program management, operations, education, nonprofit leadership, international development, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with the Co-Founder to advance SOLAx's priorities and goals; lead cross-functional initiatives; develop systems and reporting structures; monitor progress and ensure timely execution.
• Programs & Learner Growth: Collaborate with Curriculum to keep courses current; support Outreach to grow enrollment and engagement; monitor learner growth and opportunities to expand impact.
• Technology & Product Operations: Coordinate transition to a new tech platform; manage vendor relationships; improve learner experience and platform capabilities; oversee product enhancements.
• Volunteer Helpdesk Program: Design, launch, and oversee the volunteer learner support program; recruit, train, deploy volunteers; establish high-quality support systems.
• Learning Outcomes, Impact & Accreditation: Design assessments and systems to measure learning; develop dashboards; prepare impact reports; lead accreditation efforts.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare donor reports and board materials; ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
• Team Leadership: Supervise Operations Associate; foster collaboration and accountability across teams and partners.
