Job summary

School of Leadership Afghanistan, Inc. (SOLA) is seeking the SOLAx Director of Programs & Operations to partner with the Co-Founder and lead SOLAx's highest-priority initiatives across programs, operations, technology, learner support, outreach, and impact measurement to translate priorities into action.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, mission-driven, and comfortable in a dynamic environment, capable of managing complex projects, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and building scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in program management, operations, education, nonprofit leadership, international development, or related field.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Experience in education, EdTech, nonprofit organizations.
• Experience with monitoring, evaluation, learning, or impact measurement.
• Experience recruiting, training, or managing volunteers.
• Experience working with vendors, consultants, or external partners.
• Familiarity with accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Co-Founder to advance SOLAx's strategic priorities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across teams, vendors, and external partners.
• Develop systems and reporting structures that improve organizational effectiveness and accountability.
• Monitor progress against organizational goals and ensure timely execution of key initiatives.
• Manage special projects and emerging priorities as organizational needs evolve.
• Work closely with the Curriculum Team to ensure courses remain current and relevant.
• Support Outreach and Communications teams to increase learner enrollment and engagement.
• Coordinate technology platform transitions and vendor relationships.
• Design, launch, and oversee SOLAx's volunteer learner support program.
• Lead efforts to measure learning outcomes and prepare impact reports.
