Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Director of Production Optimization to lead the packaging function across its manufacturing network and own LEAN implementation. The role drives throughput, yield, and quality, coordinating with cross-functional teams to move initiatives from concept to sustained results.

You will oversee packaging operations, production scheduling alignment, and quality-at-the-source, partnering with Packaging Engineering, Procurement, and CI teams to ensure safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing operations with packaging/high‑volume ownership.
• LEAN/continuous-improvement leadership with quantified results (OEE, throughput).
• Planning fluency with MRP/MPS and S&OP in regulated or high‑mix environment.
• Familiarity with Batch Production Records (BPR), GMP, SOPs, and CAPA processes.
• Fluency with ERP/MRP (D365) and project-tracking tools; reporting/BI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own finished-good packaging across all manufacturing sites ensuring output meets specs and labeling accuracy.
• Establish packaging standard work, line-clearance, and changeover routines to maximize units-per-labor-hour.
• Collaborate with Packaging Engineering and Procurement on BOM accuracy and materials-on-site discipline.
• Partner with Innovation to launch new products and packaging formats into production and ensure feasibility and readiness.
• Drive OEE and changeover targets with Packaging Engineering; monitor material consumption and trigger replenishment.
