Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Director, Production Optimization to lead packaging across its manufacturing network and own LEAN execution. You will drive throughput, yield, and quality while aligning production scheduling, materials readiness, and cross‑functional initiatives with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams.

The role emphasizes LEAN transformation, standard work, and measurable improvements across multiple sites, including flower packaging and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience with ownership of packaging/high‑volume production.
• Proven track record leading LEAN / continuous-improvement transformations with quantified, sustained results (OEE, changeover, scrap, throughput).
• Planning fluency with production scheduling, MRP/MPS, and S&OP in regulated/high-mix environments.
• Familiarity with Batch Production Records, SOPs, GMP, and CAPA processes.
• Fluency with ERP/MRP (D365) and project-tracking tools; BI/reporting tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own packaging execution across manufacturing sites, ensuring output meets spec, label accuracy, and finished-goods standards.
• Lead LEAN deployment, 5S, standard work, visual management, and Gemba practices across production and packaging.
• Manage production scheduling alignment with master schedule and demand signals from S&OP.
• Coordinate with Packaging Engineering, Procurement, and Quality for inputs, BOM accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
• Drive improvement projects across packaging and process improvement portfolio with clear metrics.
• Ensure quality at the source; address defects using CAPA and improvement pipelines.
