Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Director of Curriculum for Prelicensure Nursing to lead the design, development, and evaluation of nursing curriculum across all programs. You will supervise assigned staff, align with accreditation standards, and ensure consistent implementation across delivery modalities, including online formats.

The role requires a doctoral degree, active RN licensure, and 5+ years of clinical nursing practice with 3+ years in nursing education or program leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold a doctoral degree (DNP, DNE, or PhD).
• Active RN licensure in the state of primary employment; eligibility for additional states as required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing practice.
• Minimum of three (3) years in nursing education, curriculum development, or program leadership at the post-secondary level in an accredited prelicensure program.
• Experience supervising curriculum or academic program staff preferred.
• Experience supporting or leading accreditation self-studies or site visits preferred.
• Experience with online nursing program curriculum design and instructional design for online delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Curricular Operations: supervise Associate Directors, set curriculum strategy, ensure cross-site implementation, conduct evaluations, align communications, update policies, coordinate with instructional design and exam proctoring, collaborate with Simulation and Lab, align with university mission and resource planning, represent curriculum with external partners.
• Design, Development, and Sustainability: lead strategic direction, ensure consistent outcomes across modalities, develop curriculum maps and sequences, chair the Nursing Curriculum Committee, coordinate with Clinical Education and Lab/Simulation leads, ensure cohesive student learning experiences across didactic, lab, and clinical.
• Oversight of Prelicensure Curriculum, Assessment, and Continuous Improvement: conduct systematic assessment cycles, analyze NCLEX/NCSBN data and outcomes, identify gaps, collaborate with data analyst, incorporate student feedback, manage curriculum change processes, gather partner feedback.
