Job summary

Herzing University in Newark, NJ seeks a Director of Curriculum for prelicensure nursing programs. You will lead design, development, review, and improvement of the nursing curriculum across all delivery modalities and ensure alignment with accreditation standards and current practice.

You will supervise assigned personnel, coordinate strategy, and maintain communication with stakeholders to advance faculty ownership of curriculum and assessment.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (DNP, DNE, or PhD) required.
• Active RN licensure in state of primary employment.
• Minimum five years of professional nursing practice experience.
• Minimum three years in nursing education, curriculum development, or academic program leadership at post-secondary level.
• Experience supervising curriculum staff and supporting accreditation self-studies or site visits; online curriculum design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Associate Directors for PN, ASN/BSN, and MSNDE curricula.
• Set curriculum strategy for each program track across all delivery sites and modalities.
• Maintain structured communication rhythms with Associate Directors to monitor implementation progress.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for direct reports and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with university offices to align curriculum with accreditation standards and resource planning.
• Represent Herzing University nursing curriculum with external partners and accrediting bodies.
• Oversee curriculum assessment and continuous improvement cycles across all programs.
