Job summary

RocketRez Inc. in Canada/US is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead four Engineering Team Leads, guide technical strategy, and ensure delivery with QA and product partners. This role can be remote from Canada or the U.S.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, shape roadmaps, enforce code quality, and hire engineering leaders. You’ll balance strategic and tactical work and report to the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering.
• 3+ years managing engineering managers or leads.
• Experience leading multi-team organizations with developers and QA.
• Experience delivering SaaS/product with high cadence and quality.
• Strong technical judgment and architecture review experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience hiring and developing engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Optimize your org around autonomous teams delivering incrementally at a high cadence.
• Coordinate across teams through Team Leads to move initiatives to completion.
• Define strategies for future development with product and resources.
• Participate in technical design and architecture decisions across multiple teams.
• Enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and release practices.
• Ensure QA is embedded early in the development lifecycle.
• Foster ownership culture and report progress to the VP of Engineering.
