Job summary

RocketRez Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a full-time remote position based in Canada. You will design and implement automated tests, build robust QA processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.

You will leverage AI-enabled testing tools, create scalable test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of QA testing and automation in SaaS or tech startup environments.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD integration.
• Strong QA methodologies, test management, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures ensuring product quality and performance.
• Develop automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Use AI-powered tools to generate test cases and optimize test suites.
• Identify and report bugs with clear documentation; collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures that ensure product quality and performance.
• Develop automatedfunctional, regression, integration, andend-to-endtests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions,orAzure DevOps.
• Use AI powered tools to generate automated test cases,optimizeautomation test suites,identifygaps in test coverage, assess QA automation needs for projects, estimateautomation effort.
• Identify, reproduce, and report software bugs and usability issues with clear, concise documentation.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Design, build, andmaintainautomated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with product and development teams to refine features and ensure test coverage.
• Use tools like Postman for API testing and SQL for data verification to support testing workflows.
• Drivecontinuous improvementacrossQAandengineering, while promotingautomation best practices.
• Support other assigned tasks as needed in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Qualifications:

• 3-5years of experience in software QA testingand automation, ideally within a SaaS or tech startup environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps for source control, test automation integration, pipeline execution, and collaboration within Agile development teams.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test management software, and debugging tools.
• Experience with Agile development processes and a Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple testing streams simultaneously.
• Empathetic and collaborative—readyto workas part of a high-performing team.

AI Skills

• Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot,Codex, Claude, or Gemini.
