Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines for a fully remote role with preferred Central Time Zone hours. The role leads nationwide Commercial P&C operations, standardizes workflows, and drives performance improvements across the organization.

The candidate will guide producers, account teams, and operational leaders, influence senior stakeholders, and oversee M&A integration efforts while advancing agency best practices and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–7+ years of commercial lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Excellent communication and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines initiatives with leadership to strengthen operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable, quality-driven solutions.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable actions.
• Plan capacity and workforce strategies to support growth.
• Coordinate with Managed Services for resource alignment.
• Serve as national Commercial P&C subject matter expert on operations and systems.
• Support M&A integration with operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, workflows, reporting tools, and tech platforms.
• Utilize metrics and BI to measure performance and drive improvements.
• Lead change management to adopt new processes and practices.
• Invest in ongoing professional development and uphold IOA values.
