Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Director, Market & Network Strategy to define the enterprise footprint across markets, guiding expansions, relocations, and consolidations for GP, Specialty and ER/Urgent Care locations. You will lead market-planning, test scenarios with Finance and Operations, and deliver a prioritized network thesis for portfolio growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network strategy, market planning, portfolio strategy, location strategy, strategic finance, consulting, or similar multi-site planning roles.
• Experience evaluating physical networks or multi-site portfolios and recommending expansions, relocations, consolidations, or new-site development.
• Strong market sizing, demand-supply analysis, competitive assessment, and portfolio-scenario development.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise market-planning process and establish a prioritized view of where NVA should invest, maintain, reshape, or reduce its physical presence.
• Size and rank market opportunities using demand, competition, demographics, consumer economics, industry dynamics, and other indicators.
• Assess NVA's GP, Specialty, and ER/Urgent Care footprint to determine current coverage, capacity, density, and gaps by market.
• Define the future-state network for each priority market, including facility mix, capacity, coverage, density, and white-space needs.
• Evaluate network actions—expansions, relocations, consolidations, and new sites—and compare strategic advantages and sequencing.
• Develop market-level portfolio scenarios showing how location and capacity choices would change coverage and market position.
• Set priorities for the Senior Analyst / Analyst, Market & Network Strategy and ensure analyses address concrete footprint decisions.
