Job summary

Enlyte is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Engineering for a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. You will lead cloud, data center, network, OS/Linux, and firewall management, steering the move from on-prem to multi-cloud (AWS & Azure) while decommissioning legacy facilities.

You’ll own vendor portfolios, guide cross-functional governance, and drive a product-delivery transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in infrastructure engineering or IT operations with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading data center migrations and cloud transformations.
• Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure) including landing zones and cost management.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise network architecture and security fundamentals.
• Experience with firewall platforms (NGFW) and cloud-native firewalls.
• Proven cross-functional program leadership across multiple org boundaries.
• People leadership: building teams of 10+ and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the infrastructure engineering function including cloud, compute/server, network, OS/Linux, and firewall management.
• Define and execute data center exit strategy with plans, timelines, and governance.
• Drive enterprise network architecture strategy for multi-cloud environments with SD-WAN and VPN.
• Manage enterprise firewall platform lifecycle, patching, and renewal strategy.
• Direct OS/compute engineering operations including patching strategy and lifecycle.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, SLAs, and RFP development.
• Drive readiness for cloud migration programs, including load testing and production transition.
• Lead major incident response for infrastructure and drive availability improvements.
• Build a high-performing infra team and develop talent pipelines.
• Ensure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support product delivery model.
• Provide regular reporting on status, cloud spend, vendor health, and risk to exec leadership.
