Job summary

Optum seeks a Director of Industry Relations to advance strategic pharmaceutical partnerships and optimize contract economics. The role oversees nationwide account relationships, formulary strategy, and cross-functional collaborations to deliver economic value and improved patient outcomes.

Remote work is available nationwide with in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, DC four days a week for local hires.

Qualifications

8+ years in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management focusing on contracting negotiations and strategy development.
8+ years of financial analyses and economic models for medical/pharmacy data.
8+ years of pharmaceutical rebate designs, arrangements, and contract executions.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and execute agreements with pharmaceutical companies and manage national account leads.
Develop formulary positioning and promote economic value to patients and providers.
Collaborate with Rebates, Legal, Product, and Clinical teams to identify opportunities.
Build and maintain financial models and forecasts for rebate optimization and cost control.
Ensure contract compliance with state and federal regulations.
Lead cross-functional teams and communicate results to stakeholders.
