Job summary

HCS in Newark, NJ seeks a Director, Network Development to lead provider contracting across hospital, physician, and ancillary services, and to guide complex negotiations and strategic contracting initiatives.

You will build rate proposals with analytics, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage a team of specialists, and collaborate with senior leadership to advance network objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health.
• Requires 10+ years in hospital/provider group finance and/or managed care network development.
• Extensive knowledge of contract finance, reimbursement methods (FFS, WC/PIP pricing), and incentive arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and negotiate provider contracts for hospitals, physicians, and ancillary facilities.
• Draft and approve provider rate proposals with analytics collaboration.
• Manage contract loading, templates, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and mentor contracting staff; oversee recruitment and training.
• Represent the organization at industry events and ensure market positioning.
