Job summary

Coeur Mining, a growing North American precious metals producer, is seeking a seasoned exploration leader. This role can be remote in the USA or Canada with regular travel to sites and the Chicago head office.

You will oversee greenfields and brownfields exploration programs across multiple US and Canadian sites in alignment with company priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Exploration, you will mentor teams, design exploration strategies, manage budgets, ensure QA/QC, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology required.
• Advanced degree in mineral economics or geology would be beneficial.
• Highly field oriented with hands-on approach and mentorship to improve team capability.
• Strong execution discipline and ownership; collaborative across departments.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and develop exploration teams with an inclusive leadership style.
• Deliver greenfields and brownfields exploration programs across sites.
• Drive design and improvement of exploration strategies with robust targets.
• Ensure programs align with objectives, standards, budgets, and timelines.
• Maintain high-quality geological models by integrating drilling, geological, and geotechnical data.
• Identify gaps and drive timely corrective actions to improve understanding.
• Apply industry best practices in exploration activities across sites.
• Communicate program context, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with permitting, environmental, specialists, and partners.
