Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resource Geologist to support our U.S. West Region with broad mineral exploration experience and strong technical competencies.

The role focuses on providing mineral exploration and resource estimation solutions across the mining lifecycle, from discovery to closure, and involves travel to remote locations. Ideal candidates will have a BS in Geology, a PG license, and proven ability to build data-driven models, report responsibly under NI 43-101/JORC, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• BS in Geology or related field required with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Registered Professional Geologist (PG) license is required.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills are important.
• Advanced geologic modeling and QA/QC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, analyze and interpret exploration data using geostatistical methods.
• Develop exploration and resource models for due diligence and reporting.
• Prepare public reports as Qualified Person or Competent Person under NI 43-101, S-K 1300 and JORC where applicable.
• Support desktop planning, supervision, and evaluation of mineral exploration programs.
• Mentor resource geologists on project teams.
• Assist with exploration and mining project proposals for clients.
