Job summary

The Max Foundation in Seattle or remote home office is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead the Major Gifts program, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-value donors to advance global health equity.

This role requires a strategic advancement professional who can build a robust pipeline, collaborate with the CEO and Board, and scale fundraising revenue through data-driven leadership and cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or relevant certification preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive fundraising/advancement experience.
Proven success securing six-figure gifts and major donor stewardship.
Experience building and expanding a Major Gifts program and donor pipelines.
Ability to partner with CEOs, Board members, and senior leaders to advance objectives.
Demonstrated leadership in investor relations and stakeholder engagement.
Strategic, data-driven mindset with CRM usage for forecasting.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive Major Gifts strategy aligned with priorities.
Set annual and multi-year revenue targets and monitor progress.
Build and oversee a donor pipeline from identification to stewardship.
Implement portfolio and moves management to maximize engagement.
Increase donor retention, upgrade giving levels, and secure multi-year gifts.
Collaborate with CEO, VP, and Board for donor meetings and solicitations.
Represent the foundation at events and partner with philanthropic networks.
