Job summary

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, LLC is seeking a Director of Business Development & Origination to drive growth across its hydro portfolio. The role combines hands-on deal work with leadership of the Origination and Policy functions, and requires close collaboration with commercial strategy and operations teams.

The position is remote with in-office options for candidates near Bethesda, MD, Badin, NC, or Neshkoro, WI.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8 years of relevant experience in energy or power commercial, origination, or business development.
• Demonstrated experience running or supporting acquisition and divestment processes, including diligence and transaction management.
• Strong contracting and negotiation capability across offtake, capacity, and REC agreements.
• Experience in RTO/ISO markets strongly preferred; hydropower or renewables familiarity is a plus.
• Working knowledge of energy policy, grants, and funding mechanisms to guide policy work.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility acquisition and divestment processes end to end, sourcing and evaluating opportunities, coordinating diligence, supporting valuation, and managing transactions to close.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities across the existing fleet, including new offtake structures and incremental revenue streams.
• Partner with senior leadership on portfolio strategy and transaction execution.
• Originate, structure, and negotiate offtake agreements directly, including PPA, capacity arrangements, and REC transactions.
• Develop and execute contracting strategies that balance pricing, tenor, and portfolio value.
