Job summary

Aflac is seeking a senior finance professional for remote work from within the continental US, supporting Life, Absence, Disability and VB product lines. You will oversee billing, premium administration, tax reporting, and client accounting, collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients to improve accuracy and compliance.

The role requires 10+ years of related experience, 5+ years in management, and a strong background in GAAP accounting, premium structures, and regulatory tax rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience with 5+ years of management.
• Knowledge of group insurance financial structures including premium administration, claims funding arrangements, product-specific billing requirements, dividend accounting.
• Experience leading strategy, governance, and execution of disability and paid leave tax services, ensuring IRS compliance.
• Understand tax treatment of STD, LTD, SDI, and Paid Leave benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead client accounting for Life, Absence, Disability, and VB product lines.
• Partner with operations, product, finance, tax and sales to ensure seamless delivery of accounting services.
• Oversee end-to-end client billing, remittance, and revenue recognition.
• Maintain internal controls over client billing and cash handling.
• Prepare reports including client financial summaries and audit docs.
• Support renewals, pricing, and revenue forecasting with financial insights.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance reporting tools and automation.
