Job summary

SOLVE Energy is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead battery energy storage system augmentation projects. The role oversees superintendents, collaborates with project managers, and ensures safe, timely and profitable delivery for SOLV Energy and clients. The position is fully remote with interview-based location specifics.

Minimum requirements include a engineering-related degree and progressive BESS leadership experience. Travel up to 30% is expected to support projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in utility-scale BESS, power generation or electrical construction.
• Strong business sense and ability to manage budgets, forecasts and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BESS augmentation programs and teams.
• Set portfolio priorities, staffing plans, governance and augmentation strategies.
• Direct safe field execution, outage planning, subcontractor coordination, and turnover.
• Partner with PMs on budgets, procurement, contracts, schedules and risks.
• Review forecasts, margin, and risk; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
