Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in the United States is seeking a Director of Automation and Controls to lead the Automation & Controls group across multiple manufacturing locations.

You will drive capital planning alignment, partner with IT, Process Services, and R&D, and push continuous improvement in controls systems while supporting production operations. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 10+ years manufacturing experience, with proven leadership, CAD, HMI, PLC skills, and a strong focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all functions of Automation & Controls group across sites.
• Contribute to 3- and 5-year capital plans for manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, Corporate Engineering, GAF Business Systems and R&D.
• Ensure machine standards are maintained and documentation is up to date.
• Provide leadership and promote safety and cross-functional teamwork.
