Job summary

Denali is seeking a Director to lead its applied AI practice, driving AI strategy and delivering solutions in neurodegenerative disease research. You will partner across functions to identify high-impact problems and guide projects from idea to production, with strong emphasis on regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs, fluent Python development, and extensive exposure to regulated life sciences environments. Remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, AI, data science, or engineering.
• 10+ years delivering AI/ML solutions with hands-on generative AI and LLM experience.
• Experience in regulated life sciences environments (pharma, biotech, medical devices) with GxP, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF.

Responsibilities

• Set AI strategy and roadmap for Denali's applied AI practice.
• Design and prototype AI solutions from concept to production.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact problems.
• Ensure regulatory and quality compliance across projects.
• Drive adoption, scale, and governance of AI initiatives.
