Job summary

Life360 is seeking a Director of AI Platforms to lead a team that shifts from supporting AI usage to powering AI for members. You’ll shape the platform supporting AI inference and AI-powered features across Life360’s products, reporting to the CISO and partnering with security, privacy, and legal.

This is a remote-first US role with a strong emphasis on scalable, safe AI platforms. You’ll drive the PDLC for agentic workflows, ensure cost controls, and define metrics to measure adoption, quality,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience building and operating production AI systems
• Familiarity with MCP and agent orchestration
• Experience driving adoption of new engineering practices
• Hands-on technical judgment and architecture review
• Comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the AI Platforms team with a clear roadmap
• Lead and scale the team to full capacity
• Build and evolve the shared AI platform (model access, routing, agent runtime)
• Define and own AI end-user platforms for a multiplayer ecosystem
• Partner with teams to evolve the Agentic PDLC and tooling
• Extend platform to production AI features at member scale
• Drive adoption with reusable components and enablement
• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, and Legal from day one
• Define and report outcomes like adoption and time to ship
