Job summary

eJam is seeking freelance video ad scriptwriters to craft hooks, storylines, and visuals for Meta, TikTok and YouTube campaigns. You will write scripts from briefs, test variants, and iterate based on performance data.

You'll work on short 30–90 second scripts, deliver multiple options, and collaborate with strategists, editors and media buyers to drive purchase intent. Remote, project-based, flexible deadlines and rolling start dates.

Qualifications

• Hooks are your strength and you can write ten openings for the same idea.
• You can trace a line from persona to problem to angle to hook.
• You write for the screen with dialogue and visuals.
• You have real direct response experience in paid social video ads.
• You work fast and can turn briefs into scripts in a few days.
• You take notes well and ask the right questions to unblock yourself.
• Nice to have experience in pest control, pet, or food/CPG areas.

Responsibilities

• Write video ad scripts for 30–90 second formats.
• Create multiple hook options for testing.
• Craft emotionally resonant copy that also supports purchase intent.
• Describe visuals and on-screen elements to accompany the dialogue.
• Work from briefs and ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Apply performance insights to future scripts.
• Follow product claim rules and brand do/don’t lists.
