LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Dinka-English interpreter to work from home in the United States. You will handle on-demand interpretation across diverse industries, maintaining accuracy and cultural sensitivity in every session.

This independent contractor role requires quiet, secure home workspace and adherence to client protocols. Compensation is per minute, with opportunities for advancement and support from senior staff and help desks.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Dinka and English with strong cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to assess regional accents and adapt communication accordingly.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for accurate interpretation.
• Must be able to stay neutral and objective in all calls.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and maintain professionalism.
• Render accurate concepts according to interpretation conventions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with correct pronunciation and courtesy.
• Remain calm during sessions, including emergency or high-volume calls.
• Follow client instructions and comply with protocol to protect LEP.
• Understand industry terminology across medical, insurance, finance and law.
