DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGER – HVAC SERVICE & MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS

Location: New Jersey HQ | Remote Considered | Contract Options Available

Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to lead the development and growth of digital HVAC service products, connected equipment, and technician-focused applications.

This role will have a strong emphasis on digital instrumentation, smart HVAC tools, connected equipment, mobile applications, diagnostics, and technician workflow solutions.

The ideal candidate combines digital product management experience with HVAC service, instrumentation, IoT, or connected technology expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Product Strategy & Development

• Lead product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and lifecycle management for digital HVAC products.


• Drive development of smart tools and connected equipment, including digital gauges, probes, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, charging systems, leak detection, and testing instruments.


• Identify market opportunities and emerging customer needs.


• Partner with engineering, firmware, software, and UX/UI teams to improve product functionality, connectivity, reliability, and customer experience.


• Lead products from concept through development, validation, and commercialization.

Digital Applications & Connected Products

• Lead development and improvement of mobile applications, cloud connectivity, diagnostics platforms, and connected workflows.


• Expand digital capabilities supporting diagnostics, evacuation, charging, system analysis, reporting, and technician productivity.


• Develop strategies connecting digital tools, applications, cloud systems, and third-party platforms.


• Support future AI-enabled diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and remote service capabilities.

Technician Workflow & Innovation

• Translate technician feedback and field-service trends into product requirements and development priorities.


• Lead field testing, beta validation, and customer trials with contractors, distributors, and service organizations.


• Evaluate emerging technologies including IoT, wireless communication, AI-assisted diagnostics, mobile applications, and cloud analytics.


• Identify opportunities to reduce service time, improve diagnostic accuracy, and increase technician efficiency.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate hardware, firmware, software, mobile, cloud, QA, manufacturing, technical support, sales, and marketing teams.


• Manage product development timelines, milestones, validation, and launch readiness.


• Align customer requirements, technical execution, quality, commercialization, and business objectives.


• Support technology partnerships and ecosystem development.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related technical field.


• 2+ years of experience in digital product management, connected equipment, IoT, smart tools, or technical program management.


• Experience managing products involving hardware, firmware, mobile applications, and/or cloud-connected systems.


• Strong understanding of connected products, mobile applications, wireless communication, and digital ecosystems.


• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical programs from concept through commercialization.


• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• HVAC service, refrigeration, instrumentation, or field-service technology experience.


• Familiarity with HVAC workflows, including commissioning, diagnostics, evacuation, charging, and maintenance.


• Experience with connected HVAC tools, digital instrumentation, smart service equipment, or technician workflow platforms.


• Understanding of UX/UI and technician-centered workflow design.


• Experience working with engineering or manufacturing organizations in China.


• Fluent in Chinese.


• 5+ years of digital product management, IoT, connected equipment, smart tools, or technical program management experience.


• MBA or advanced technical degree.
