Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a remote industrial software engineer to design and develop web-based applications on the Ignition platform, integrating real-time plant data with SQL, ERP, and historian sources.

You will work with OPC, Kepware, and Canary, build maintainable architectures, travel up to 25% to client sites in VA, and collaborate with operators, engineers, and IT teams to translate needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 5-7 years Ignition experience including custom development and integration services.
• Strong experience with web UI development: HTML5, CSS, JS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive industrial web applications using Ignition Perspective and web technologies.
• Extend Ignition components with JavaScript, CSS, and Python scripting for complex requirements.
• Connect equipment to Ignition using OPC, Kepware, tags, and historian data.
• Produce clear technical documentation and solution architectures.
