Job summary

Castor Engineering seeks an Ignition Developer to design, develop, test, and support industrial software that links manufacturing operations with enterprise systems. You will work across MES, reporting, analytics, and traceability to help customers gain visibility into operations.

The role combines OT and IT skills, leveraging Ignition Perspective and Vision, SQL, and PLC interfaces to deliver scalable solutions with measurable value.

Qualifications

• Experience developing applications using Ignition in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain industrial applications using Ignition Perspective and Vision.
• Design and implement MES, OEE, production tracking, traceability, reporting, and manufacturing analytics solutions.
• Create and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, database schemas, and data models to support reliable data collection and reporting.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, industrial devices, ERP systems, REST APIs, cloud services, and other enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving application functionality, database performance, communications, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business objectives into practical software solutions.
• Support project deployments, customer acceptance testing, commissioning activities, and ongoing customer support.
• Contribute to internal software frameworks, development standards, reusable modules, and best practices that improve consistency and delivery efficiency.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, configuration standards, and support procedures.
