Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is building modern, highly customized digital applications on top of the Ignition platform to support complex discrete manufacturing operations. This is a hybrid industrial software engineering role with live plant-floor data, OPC/Kepware, and Canary integrations, requiring strong communication across diverse teams.

The role is remote, with field visits to client sites as needed. Expect hands-on development, data integration, and robust solution design across manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of Ignition experience including custom development and integration.
• Strong experience with web UI development and modern UI patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive industrial web applications using Ignition Perspective.
• Extend Ignition with JavaScript, CSS, and Python scripting.
• Build modular architectures that support long-term scalability.
• Connect equipment and control systems to Ignition using OPC, Kepware, tags, and historians.
• Produce clear technical documentation and solution architecture diagrams.
