Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a DevSecOps Developer focused on Zero Trust principles, with a remote, full-time setup. You will contribute to secure software delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape secure deployment practices in a distributed environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, container tech like Docker and Kubernetes, REST/JSON APIs, and modern CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MS in Computer Science, or 2+ years industry experience (required).
• 1+ years of experience in commercial software development using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, messaging frameworks (e.g., RabbitMQ), and SQL (required).
• Experience with container runtimes such as Docker and workload/container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes or similar technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-tiered applications, databases, application servers, network infrastructure, security, and data flows across these components (required).
• Strong working knowledge of REST and JSON APIs, as well as SCIM for user collection, provisioning, and deprovisioning (required).
• Strong working knowledge of Git, including branching and tagging strategies.
• Quality-focused approach to software development, driven by unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Deep knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including security tooling such as SonarQube, Coverity, and similar solutions.
