Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a 100% remote role serving a large federal healthcare technology program. You will help deliver secure software, manage cloud infra, automate CI/CD, and drive release engineering in a collaborative DevSecOps environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, build/release, systems admin, or cloud ops.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience with AWS, Linux, scripting, and infra automation.
• Experience with containers, deployment tooling, and artifact repositories.
• Understanding of DevSecOps and secure software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, packaging, and deployments.
• Implement automation for environment provisioning, workflows, releases, and infra tasks.
• Support secure software delivery practices including code scanning and secrets management.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, and pipeline issues across applications.
• Collaborate with development and QA to improve release quality and timelines.
• Support cloud infra and shared platform services with architects and operations.
• Maintain deployment pipelines and environment configurations documentation.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor system, app, and pipeline performance and suggest tooling improvements.
• Assist with change management, release readiness, and deployment coordination for prod and non-prod.
