Job summary

Leidos in Orlando, FL seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to join the SEIC II team supporting Air Force Mission Planning with JPO & Navy partners. The role drives secure, automated software delivery, advanced CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based deployments across multiple environments.

Responsibilities include designing and automating pipelines, helm charts, and environment provisioning while guiding DevOps practices. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years software engineering experience in OO languages.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• 3+ years in a DevSecOps environment with best practices.
• Experience with version control workflows (Git/Bitbucket).
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters and containerized apps.
• Experience with Docker containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and debug pipeline software for builds, deployments, and tests.
• Provide technical guidance for deployment, configuration, and validation of software products.
• Develop pipeline automation and API integrations with DevOps and test tooling.
• Define and improve DevOps processes and toolchain integrations for CI/CD.
• Design, configure, and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Integrate and troubleshoot microservices across Kubernetes platforms.
• Automate versioning, release management, and environment provisioning.
• Automate VM provisioning and lifecycle workflows via cloud APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes, container, VM, and pipeline issues.
• Guide team on DevOps practices, deployment architecture, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate status and risks clearly with stakeholders.
• Influence technical decisions to meet program objectives and quality.
