Job summary

ShorePoint is actively seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support cloud-based cybersecurity data systems for government clients. You will engineer, operate, and monitor distributed data infrastructure in collaboration with data engineers, architects and security analysts.

The role emphasizes observability, automation, and DevOps best practices within an agile team. Remote work from Herndon, VA is available with strong growth opportunities in a fast-growing cybersecurity company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating and maintaining large IT systems or integrating systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks.
• Proficient in administering Linux systems.
• Strong Kubernetes skills via command line.
• Experience with AWS (CLI, Config, Secrets Manager, SecurityHub).
• Proficient in Python (AWS Lambda, Boto3).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
• U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational engineering support for cyber data systems in government cloud environments.
• Build and integrate IT best practices and operational excellence into all areas of the project.
• Ensure system availability by building observability into large distributed infrastructures.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion and storage monitoring pipelines.
• Create dashboards and reports on operational metrics and capacity.
• Operate and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate in an Agile DevOps team using CI/CD practices.
• Maintain documentation for technical procedures.
