Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Devops Release Engineer to lead software release processes for a US-based remote workforce. You will coordinate release planning, manage branching strategies, and script build/deploy tasks to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, oversight of pipelines, and maintaining release documentation to improve accountability and service across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or specialized coding training.
• Proficient in Microsoft.NET build and packaging tools such as MS Build and Visual Studio.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and version management.
• Experience with scripting languages like Powershell and Python.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools, particularly Atlassian JIRA.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment orchestration using Azure DevOps.
• 3+ years in Release Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of the software release checklist end-to-end, ensuring timely accountability across phases.
• Execute release planning by coordinating scope with managers and setting realistic release dates.
• Manage source control branching and versioning strategies, developing scripts for build and deployment.
• Ensure quality controls are met by collaborating with QA before code freeze and conducting go/no-go meetings.
• Facilitate communication regarding release status across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Design and monitor build and deployment pipelines while maintaining detailed release documentation.
