Job summary

the company is seeking a Release Engineer to own the full release lifecycle of its remote execution platform. You will manage weekly production rollouts, triage issues, and coordinate across multiple engineers to keep the service healthy and observable.

Qualifications

• Release & deployment experience with distributed or cloud-hosted services.
• Hands-on Terraform experience in AWS, GCP, and other clouds.
• Build system familiarity with Bazel, Gradle, Maven, or CMake.
• Experience keeping a CI system healthy and diagnosing flaky tests.
• Linux & shell as primary tools for debugging production issues.
• Strong written English for updates, handovers, and runbooks.
• Ownership of outcomes and willingness to be the team’s go-to person on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own the release cycle from branch cut to production rollout across tracks.
• Keep production healthy by deploying changes and managing drift across clusters.
• Run weekly rotations to shield the team from operational noise and triage issues.
• Maintain master CI health across repositories and provide context for flaky tests.
• Coordinate during incidents and deploy hotfixes within maintenance windows.
• Improve runbooks and handover processes to ease future releases.
