Job summary

Maximus seeks a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud, containerization, and automation. This fully remote role requires 15% travel and partners with development, cloud, security, and operational teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role establishes architecture and engineering best practices, guides complex initiatives, and mentors the DevOps Engineering team to deliver reliable services supporting enterprise and government programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack development and cloud-enabled solutions.
• Strong skills in .NET 4/8, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and Vue.js.
• Proficient in SQL Server, data modeling, and complex queries.
• Knowledge of software architecture patterns and secure design.
• Experience with authentication standards (OIDC, SAML, JWT).
• Familiarity with AWS services; SSRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps and containerization practices across the enterprise.
• Lead technical teams, align solutions with business needs and best practices.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and promote excellence within the team.
• Oversee configuration management and SDLC support across projects.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and development to deliver reliable services.
• Develop automation for build, deployment, and versioning processes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in version control and CI systems.
• Administer source code management, CI environments, and release cycles.
• Lead large, complex projects and ensure service delivery excellence.
