Job summary

InfluxData in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior DevOps Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable Kubernetes infrastructure across clouds, using GitOps practices to keep systems reliable and observable.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams, automate routines with Terraform, and contribute to incident response, pager rotations, and culture of openness in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Production-level experience with Kubernetes and surrounding ecosystems in production environments.
• Terraform and automation tooling to automate manual processes and refine existing automation.
• Hands-on experience with production workloads in managed and self-managed Kubernetes across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
• Being a vocal participant of the team, focused on iterative excellence.
• Willingness to participate in a low-volume pager rotation and act as a SME on Kubernetes and infrastructure principles.
• Methodical troubleshooting: able to work through complex issues individually or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend scalable multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Provide highly available distributed services for customers using time-series platforms.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to improve tooling, culture, and incident response.
• Contribute to incident management and postmortem analyses.
