Job summary

Sardine is seeking a DevOps Engineer to evolve our infrastructure and platform tooling in a remote-first setup. You’ll own CI/CD pipelines, improve observability, and drive FinOps governance to optimize cloud spend.

You’ll collaborate with product, security, and finance to ensure reliable, scalable systems while shaping the future of DevOps at Sardine. This role suits hands-on engineers who thrive on ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps/SRE or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Ownership of production infra and debugging complex systems.
• Experience with secure, robust infra in regulated environments.
• Deep Kubernetes experience with ArgoCD/Helm/Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud cost management and FinOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve DevOps and platform engineering, from pipelines to monitoring and IaC.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines for rapid product iterations.
• Improve observability with Datadog, GCP, and custom dashboards, including FinOps outcomes.
• Implement FinOps governance, showback/chargeback models for cost accountability.
• Build internal tooling to boost developer productivity and simplify infra.
• Define and measure SLOs to set health/reliability standards.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to optimize architecture for cost and efficiency.
• Shape engineering culture and long-term DevOps roadmap.
