Job summary

Sardine is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Engineering to own end-to-end quality across our platform and banking-focused delivery. Lead a globally distributed QA team across web, mobile, and manual testing, setting standards and governance for audit-ready evidence and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with Engineering, Professional Services, and customers to ensure every product change and bank integration is well-documented, validated, and accepted.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software quality with 2+ years leading QA teams.
• Experience owning quality for regulated domains like banking, payments, or fintech.
• Strong QA mindset: automation, CI/CD gating, and coverage measurement.
• Hands-on test automation using Cypress or similar tools.
• Track record of building high-performing distributed teams across time zones.
• Metrics-driven approach: defining and reporting quality KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end QA strategy across the platform and customer-facing delivery, coordinating a globally distributed QA team.
• Establish and maintain quality governance for regulated financial institutions: test strategy standards, coverage metrics, release criteria, audit-ready evidence.
• Own incident response for quality issues: triage, root cause, prevention, and post-incident communication.
• Partner with engineers to strengthen test automation, CI/release gating, and regression coverage for a real-time platform.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and Post-Sales for UAT, structured acceptance testing, and integration validation for bank deployments.
• Shape engineering culture to uphold high quality standards across the organization.
