Job summary

Foundation Fighting Blindness is seeking a Development Manager to lead fundraising and community engagement across Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville. You’ll drive revenue, build volunteer leadership, and partner with local donors, businesses, and partners to advance blindness research.

You’ll manage events, collaborate with internal teams, and travel regionally as needed, while serving as the face of the Foundation in the territory and communicating scientific progress accessibly.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of fundraising or non-profit development experience.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals across programs/events.
• Strong ability to build authentic relationships with volunteers, donors, and partners.
• Experience recruiting and supporting volunteer leaders (committees or chapters).

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out fundraising strategies to grow revenue year over year across assigned communities.
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, local businesses, sponsors, and community partners.
• Plan and execute successful fundraising events and activities with volunteer committees.
• Partner with Regional Director and teams to set priorities and measures of success for the territory.
• Recruit, support, and motivate volunteer leaders to stay engaged and effective.
• Represent the Foundation in the community and share resources and scientific progress.
• Use donor databases to track engagement and inform fundraising decisions.
• Tailor approaches to each community to drive growth and engagement.
• Manage materials and resources to support events and local engagement.
