Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Development Lead to guide the team sustainment and enhancement work on a VA project. This fully remote role supports candidates within CONUS. The ideal candidate will coordinate across departments, mentor developers, and ensure timely feature rollouts.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in Agile/Scrum and legacy modernization. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Analytical and investigation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience supervising a team of developers/engineers.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and Scrum.
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Experience with legacy system modernization.
• Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of Developers toward successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain high standards by establishing best practices.
• Assist in gathering requirements, writing user stories, estimates and work plans.
• Help BA team prepare status reports, manuals and procedures.
• Integrate with necessary applications with system development teams.
• Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze system factors including input/output, information flow, and tech needs.
• Participate in code reviews and Sprint Reviews to ensure contract deliverables.
